Sydney Water is planning for new wastewater services in Menangle village as part of our servicing strategy for the Greater Macarthur region.

Sydney Water's wastewater network is currently not available in Menangle village to the south of Station Street, and properties are using on-site sewage management systems to manage their wastewater.

As part of the Menangle Wastewater Servicing project, we are planning to deliver new wastewater infrastructure to service approximately 280 properties in Menangle village. Our proposed design is a reticulation network that will use mostly gravity system and some pressure system.

The new network will connect into existing pipes north of Station Street. From here, wastewater will be transported to the Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facility for treatment.

Next steps

We are committed to keeping the community informed about this project as it progresses.

We are currently preparing a business case to secure approval and funding to progress the next stage of this work. This next stage will involve further design work, site investigations, environmental assessments and community consultation. We will share the proposed design with the community for your feedback and consult with you about potential impacts and considerations.

More information about when the work will be delivered will be communicated after the business case is approved and further investigations are completed.
